Entries are now open for the 2026 Stormwater Queensland Awards for Excellence!
We love celebrating the outstanding work happening across our industry. Submitting an entry is a chance to recognise your team's hard work, highlight project successes and inspire best practice across the industry.
We know award submissions take time, so now is the perfect opportunity to connect with your collaborators and clients and start preparing your entry. While putting your project forward may not come naturally, it's an important way to recognise the achievements of our industry and showcase the value stormwater professionals deliver to our communities. Do yourself and your industry a favour, and get an application in!
Award categories include:
- Excellence in Strategic or Master Planning
- Excellence in Infrastructure
- Excellence in Asset Management
- Excellence in Research and Innovation
- Excellence in Policy or Education
- Excellence in Integrated Stormwater Design

Annual Water Summit – November 2026
In November 2026, we will gather for our annual Water Summit. As an added bonus this year, we'll follow this soon after with the annual Awards for Excellence dinner. Details of both events will be available soon.
We are seeking expressions of interest for speakers from across the industry to deliver 20 minute technical presentations as part of the two concurrent sessions at the Water Summit.
Topic suggestions include:
- Landscape hydrological repair and ecosystem recovery
- Water Sensitive Urban Design
- Flooding and drainage
- Climate change
- Coastal drainage and adaptation
- Waterway management and restoration
- Green streets and cooling
- Integrated water management
- Water for liveability
- Water quality and emerging contaminants
